Easter bonnet competitions
A fun way to get everyone at the local school involved, set a budget to spend on the making of bonnets and arrange an entry fee and offer a donated prize to the winner. Organise a raffle too with donated prizes to keep costs down.
Walk to School Week
Do your kids usually get the bus to school or do you take them in the car? Walk or cycle to school with your children for a week and put the money you would have spent on bus fare or petrol towards your school’s fundraising goal. You could encourage all the children in a class to get involved, or perhaps even challenge the whole school. Children could raise sponsorship for their challenge too!
A great way to get people united. The parents and children of a school or even group of schools can set up a route for a walkathon and get people to sponsor you. It doesn’t even have to be extremely far. Let the local paper know and even local radio stations to help get some coverage and help out with donations.
